Dog: Izzy, a three year old Black Labrador, adopted from a family in Western Massachusetts when she was 8 months old
Human: Izzy shares her life with Kate, who runs the Boston University Art Gallery. They live near Whole Foods in J.P.
When Kate first sent me this photo of Izzy, she explained that this is Izzy’s favorite spot to hang out when it’s hot. I love everything about this photo.
Does your J.P. Dog have any funny quirks, odd behaviors, or defining characteristics? Izzy is a sweet pup who sits on my feet while I cook in the kitchen,
hoping to catch some of her favorite veggies (zucchini, carrots and
reg peppers are some of her favorites). She sleeps on her back with
her legs in the air and snores – LOUDLY! And aside from me, has a best
friend in the form of a small pink fuzzy elephant and another in the
form of a cranky, graying labrador named Juno.
What do you love most about your J.P. Dog? Izzy is the sweetest, most curious and energetic pup – I could not imagine life without her!
Anything else you’d love to share about your J.P. Dog? I spoke with a pet psychic once who told me that Izzy is very proud of her teeth, feels really good about her name and loves it when I eat strawberries (and wishes I ate more).
Your J.P. Dog’s favorite outdoor spots in J.P.? Izzy LOVES swimming in the pond, hiking around the Arboretum, and walking the corridor with her pal Wanda June.

Kate, thanks for sharing Izzy! She sounds like a love, and hope Arlo and I get to meet her in person one day. Also, I love that you talked to a pet psychic. Oh, and assuming Wanda June is a dog, I want to see her on J.P. Dogs. Any dog named Wanda June should be profiled.
