Every once in a while, a non JP-dog makes the cut. This acrobatic pup is one of those rare times. A friend of one of my JP Dogs field agents, texted her this photo this morning. She spotted these two during her commute in Malden.
the little j.p. dogs
Spotted! Window Westie
Arlo and I had to stop by AAA Appliance on Centre Street today. Turns out there’s a resident Westie who hangs out there, but we were in too much of a rush to get the deets! (Continue for one more photo…) (more…)
Toothy Ted
About this J.P. Dog:
Ted is a 12 year old rescued Boston Terrier / Chihuahua mix. He may also answer to Teddy Spaghetti or the Tedster. His human says, “When I went to meet him he immediately jumped in my lap and I fell in love at that moment!” (Continue for 3 more Ted photos) (more…)
Spotted! The Boss
My brother was visiting a few weeks ago and took this photo outside little City Feed. This little critter, with the most beautiful brown eyes, is owning the place.
Hans is a Stand Up Guy
About this J.P. Dog:
Super Hans is a 2 or 3 year old rescued Chihuahua mix (maybe mixed with Rat Terrier?) from Tennessee. (He’s named after a character on “Peep Show”, a British sitcom.) The rescue was part of the Pooches and Purrs Cooperative which is a group of shelters and individuals who help foster and find homes for rescued dogs and cats. He was about 1 or 2 when rescued in February 2015. (Continue for 4 more photos…)
Spotted! Sadie, Unstoppable Lady
Arlo and I had the absolute pleasure of running into this determined little love the other day at Peter’s Hill. Sadie is a 16 year old cockapoo. She’s actually a Rozzie dog but her tenacity of spirit and sheer adorability made it so she entered into that rare category of non-JP Dogs who make the cut for the blog. Sadie’s been rolling around on her wheels since two years ago when he legs gave out. Though her human said she’s hard of hearing and her vision is fading, that didn’t stop her from chasing after Arlo. He usually tries to hump other dogs, but with Sadie he just couldn’t figure out how to rig the system! (Continue for 2 more photos…) (more…)
Spotted! Lyle in the Wild
The other day Arlo and I were rounding a corner, looking at all the lovely trees when all of a sudden I noticed a little white puffball in the midst of the greenery. It was Lyle! He was sitting there quietly, also looking at all the lovely trees. We first met Lyle as a puppy when he was out and about, but I didn’t actually know where he lived so it was really fun to see him, out of the blue, in his home territory, and all grown up. (Continue for one more photo…) (more…)
Maggie & Stella: Inseparable Since Birth
About these J.P. Dogs:
Maggie and Stella are 13 year old pug-shih tzu mixes, who I first met on the Southwest Corridor. They may also answer to Stel-nel, Stelly, Mamie, Maggie May, or Maymay. (Continue for 4 more photos…) (more…)
Spotted! Memorial Day Motley Crew
My Memorial Day was quiet and a little blue. Then I stumbled upon these four, and per usual, it was the dogs who turned the day around! My neighbor does some pet-sitting, and had his charges out for a romp in the wet yard. These guys were having a ball! We’ve actually spotted Nell (the Golden Retriever), Tobey (the Papillon), and Lyle (the Westie) before on the blog, but never all in one place, with Langston too! (Continue for 7 more photos of this gang!) (more…)
Spotted! King Boswell
I had the pleasure of meeting a five month old King Charles Cavalier puppy on the Southwest Corridor this weekend. Did you hear that? A Cavalier puppy! I couldn’t stop stroking his long ears; they were so soft. (Continue for 2 more Boswell photos…) (more…)
