Truth be told these are Brookline dogs, but c’mon, how was I supposed to not post these two, named for the Charles River and the Hudson River. The cuteness is dizzying.

Spotted! Lured by Leo
It’s rare for me to post a non-JP dog, but this one made the cut. I was walking past Free People, a store in Chestnut Hill, when I spotted this little critter from the doorway. His wiggly body lured me in, and before I knew it, I was playing with him for so long that I was late to where I was headed before this puppy detour. He’s a five month old French Bulldog. So solid. So squirrel-y. So unbearably cute. Leo goes to work at Free People with his human every day so now you know where to find him. (Continue for 3 more Leo photos…) (more…)
Riley, yodaleyheehoo!
Once in a while, I profile a former J.P. Dog, in this case one who started to howl when I said hello to her outside of the City Feed on Centre Street. Turns out she’s a howling maestro. (Continue for more photos of Riley!) (more…)
I met Bruski at a party…
Dog: Bruski is an eight year old Australian Shepherd, who actually lives in Brookline, but his human’s worked in J.P. on Centre Street for five years. And because I had the enormous pleasure of meeting Bruski last weekend, at a J.P. party, and because I have blogger’s prerogative, he’s in, under the category of “sometimes we let the neighbors in.” (more…)
Delta (a Brookline Babe) & Beta (a J.P. Dog in Memoriam)
Dogs: Once in a while, I’m gonna let the surrounding neighborhoods in, on a, you know, case by case basis. (I love throwing around the blogger’s prerogative.)
In this case I welcome to J.P. Dogs, a Brookline babe named Delta, an 18-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, because well, just look at her. AND, because she’s the younger sister of a long-time J.P. Dog, Beta (the grey-ish, accidental poodle / terrier mix pictured above), who died in 2013 at 16 years old. (more…)
