Last Hope K9 Rescue

Sebastian: JP Dog by Day, Ewok by Night

IMAG2108

About this J.P. Dog:

Sebastian is a 7 year old rescued Lhasa Apso mix. While he doesn’t live in JP, he spends his days in JP at Fancy Schmancy’s daycare program. “He came up to Massachusetts from Arkansas with Last Hope K9. He was living in a hoarder’s house with a lot of other animals. Then he stayed with an incredible foster mom for about 9 months in Arkansas.  He and I met on August 28, we connected and he went home with me!” (Continue for 5 more photos…) (more…)

Lucuma’s Brave Journey to Destination Love

About this J.P. Dog:

Lucuma (pronounced LOO-koo-mah) is a rescued, one year old Mountain Cur Mix. (Lucuma is a fruit from Chile that is reminiscent of the feeling pumpkiny things give — warm and cozy.) Lucuma’s middle name is Clifforda, per the 4-year-old girl who lives with her, who wanted to name her after Clifford the Big Red Dog, but it needed an ‘a’ at the end since she’s a girl.  (Continue for 4 more photos of Lucuma and to read her awesome rescue story…) (more…)

Pasa = 8 lbs of pure sweetness

Pasa with Portrait

About this J.P. Dog:

Pasa is a three year old Chihuahua, or possibly chihuahua-dachshund (or “chiweenie”). We’ve also heard theories that she’s chihuahua-rat terrier and (my personal favorite) chihuahua-Rhodesian ridgeback. Her full name is Pasilla (pronounced Pa-see-yuh), like the pepper commonly used in Oaxacan dishes. But in practice, she’s Pasa, which means “raisin” in Spanish. She also goes by Pasita (“little raisin”) and Squeeta (my mom’s nickname for her). (Continue for Pasa’s rescue story and five more photos of this little one…) (more…)
